Almost Christmas
Baking cookies is a nice way to spend a cold evening.
Hare-iette puts the cookies in the Christmas cookie jar.
Of course she has to have cookies and milk before bed. Yummy!!
Oh dear, I wish I could teach her to keep her ears out of the glass of milk.
"Come on, Hare-iette, we have to wash your ear before you go to bed."

Just a couple of days before Christmas, we got an e-mail from Hare-iette's daughter, Bouncy, who is living in Minnesota. It was an urgent warning. She said she had heard on the news that Dec. 23 is the best day for cottontail hunting!!!
Hare-iette was terrified. I tried to tell her that Bouncy lived far, far away and even if there were cottontail hunting here, they wouldn't be hunting in our house!
I couldn't convince Hare-iette. She gathered her children and got them all hiding under the bed for the WHOLE day.
Finally at midnight, she let them all come out.
