What a great surprise! Mom said that I had been so good, she was going to buy me a new dress. Not just any dress, one of the really nice ones that are handmade by the Amish women. There were 2 in my size. Can you guess which one I picked?
Of course, there is always the potty stop. Yup, I wound up hanging on the door again. I suppose I'd better get used to it. Mom is never going to let me out of her sight in a public place.
Then we went to a little village within a village. There were a lot of nice little shops. This was taken in a gift shop. You are not allowed to take pictures in the quilt shops. As a matter of fact, you aren't even allowed to make sketches of the quilt patterns. Many of the quilts are original, copyright designs. The quilts are gorgeous! You can just see the quality of the materials and they are heavy, not like the ones we have at home. Of course, they cost lots and lots of money.
There were even things for kids to do here. I got drive a kid-sized tractor.
And I got to ride on a real live pony. I have to admit that I asked him to trot and when he did, I fell off. I didn't get hurt, but Mom spent a long time picking wood chips and grain out of my fur.
It was really hot that day. We stopped to have a root beer float. Yum!
On the way back, we stopped at a QVC store. They had some Boyds bears there. The nice lady did everything she could to get Mom to adopt this little bear. She said he was a really nice little bear and needed a good home.
Mom finally gave in. I'm glad she did. That little bear just wants to snuggle with me all the time. He just loves me. His name is Tucker. He calls me his big sister.
It was a nice trip. I hope you liked our pictures. If you want to read my other stories, Click here.
